We had an explosive week after a game of ‘the floor is lava’ prompted us to find out more about volcanoes. We learned about the parts of a volcano, where in the world we might find them and what shape they might be. We also tried making our own eruptions with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda and coke and mentos. We also modelled volcanoes from papier mache and more deliciously from strawberries and cream.
